"Weekend Taco Special"

How many of you remember being told as a child to eat your heated greens and carrots as they are good for you and in fact carrots are the reason why rabbits have excellent eye sight?  Well, do rabbits eat cooked carrots?

80% of my diet now consists of raw food and even though it has only been three weeks since starting my raw food regime I have noticed a difference in how I feel.

I was pleasantly surprised when my monthly menstrual was less painful.  Once I read the ‘Forward’ in the book “Raw Food: A Complete Guide for Every Meal of the Day” authored by Erica Palmcrantz Aziz and Irmela Lilja, I realized why.

Jinjee Talifero (TheGardenDiet.com), cousin of Erica Palmcrantz Aziz, noticed that when she ate only raw food during a few of her pregnancies, the birthing was less painful.

Raw Food

My “Raw Food: A Complete Guide for Every Meal of the Day” book is another wonderful addition to my selection of raw food recipes.

Erica Palmcrantz Aziz (a raw-food educator) and Irmela Lilja (health and human resources journalist) have demonstrated in their book that eating raw food can be homely, low-cost and tasty.

I can now eat many foods that I could not eat when I was growing up.  I, among many who are wheat-intolerant, can now enjoy a wheat and dairy free cheese cake and apple pie without missing out.

This is definitely one book which will expand your outlook about raw food.

My Thoughts

Of all the species of life on our planet, humans are the only ones to heat their food and feed cooked foods to their pets.  Some of these foods are processed and may contain artificial ingredients to extend their shelf life.

It’s no surprise to me why pets are now suffering from the same illnesses as human beings.  I feel there is a strong connection there.

Since birth we have been conditioned to think.  So look outside the square. Denatured foods (foods which have had their natural state altered) lose some of their nutritional value.
