Eco Shoes for the Whole Family

El Naturalista Women's Clog available in various colors and sold on eBay

El Naturalista Women's Clog

In the name of fashion females young and old have been literally crippling themselves.  Sounds absurd, doesn’t it?  Do the quotes “These shoes are killing me” or “My feet are killing me” pick up a chord?  Yet teenagers, young women and women much older will still go and buy shoes/sandals that look “pretty” because they like the style.  No matter how sore their feet get or how much their back is aching, they put up with it and keep complaining.  It’s insane!

El Naturalista Men's Ankle Boot sold in various styles on Amazon.com

El Naturalista Men's Ankle Boot

When our ancestors first walked this earth, they walked upright.  They never wore shoes/sandals that crippled their feet or put their spine out of alignment.  Their feet ‘aired’ and were massaged naturally.

Now I know you are not going to walk barefoot outside or walk to work barefoot but investing in a good pair of shoes/sandals will help to keep you out of the chiropractors office and podiatrists will not be attending to ingrown toenails or bunions because your toes look like they have been sandwiched in those shoes like a can of sardines.

El Naturalista is ‘walking the talk’!  Their shoes which are sold on Amazon  for men and women are as ‘El Naturale’ (natural) as you can get.  The company never tires in bettering their shoes by researching to find more natural and eco-friendly resources to make their shoes with.

El Naturalista Frog Symbol El Naturalista also upholds a number of diverse schemes for improving society.  So ‘put your foot where your mouth is’ and support El Naturalista by buying their shoes.  Every step you take will leave behind El Naturalista’s ‘stamp of approval’.  Look for the ‘frog’ symbol on the sole of their shoes.   The environment will thank you for it.  Expensive yes but what is your health worth?

El Naturalista Shoes are sold on eBay as well.

I’m hoping that El Naturalista will extend their shoe range to accommodate toddlers and children’s shoes.

Until then, I’ve come across a site called Planet Shoes who stock eco shoes for toddlers and children which are made by Simple Kids (Simple Shoes).

They are ‘simply natural’ and have a great range of shoes which I’m sure you will not be disappointed with.  Simple Shoes offer a men’s and women’s shoe range as well.

Simple Kids shoe range are also sold on Amazon and Zappos.

Tip:  Babies do not need shoes until they start to walk.  Baby shoes are another fashion accessory which will only slow down their ability to move around freely and easily.  By all means put natural cotton and hemp socks/booties on babies for warmth.  Other than that let them ‘feel free’ to explore.

Did You Know?

The companies who make these ill fitting and toxic shoes/sandals do not concern themselves about your health or the environment for that matter, as long as they see huge profits after each financial year then that is all which matters to them.

These shoes/sandals are toxic for three reasons: (A) They are leather and dyed with toxic dyes, (B) they’re synthetic and dyed with toxic dyes (C) the glue used in (A) and (B) is toxic too.  Now these companies are targeting young children.  Little girls want to ‘look like mummy’, so they are making mini-versions of the shoes/sandals which teenagers and adults wear.

Wearing shoes too big will cause constant rubbing; hence, blisters.  Shoes on stilts (stilettos) is a concern as you are constantly trying to correct your gait (step) and this balancing act is a strain on your calf muscles which then puts further strain on your hips and spine.
