Counter Top Water Distiller Review

Divine Counter Top Water Distiller with Glass Jug

Divine Counter Top Water Distiller

About a year ago I bought a water distiller because I found drinking spring water out of plastic bottles didn’t taste right.  My mother and I decided to buy the Ultra Devine Counter Top Water Distiller which can be bought from eBay (Aus).

What You Need To Know

It takes 3 1/2 hours to make distilled water.   Distilling water destroys bacteria as well as “filtering” out dirt and chlorine etc, which tap water contains.

Make sure you alkalize your distilled water for drinking and cooking as distilled water lacks vital minerals which our bodies need.  AlkaPod, sold by AlkaWay Australia, not only alkalizes water but re-mineralizes it too.  These portable alkalizing (food grade stainless steel) bottles are great and also make alkalizing water affordable; since the top filter only needs replacing every 12 months.

I’ve noticed a difference in the taste and so has my mother and our cat too!  Please read my AlkaPod review for further information.  Further down this page I have included a list of International sellers who stock AlkaWay’s AlkaPod.

Coconut Carbon Filter Sachets for Water Distillers sold on eBay

Coconut Carbon Filter Sachets for Water Distillers

Available on Amazon (US), Coconut carbon filters  for water distillers come in sachets or loose coconut carbon granules.   Sachets are slightly more expensive to buy but are easier to use.  The coconut carbon improves the taste of the distilled water.  These coconut carbon sachets are available for purchase on eBay (International Shipping).

Our electricity bill has gone up by $100 over a quarterly billing period since using the distiller.   I have done my homework and found that paying for a spring water delivery service over the same period is just as costly.

Waterwise 4000 Steam Water Distiller

A similar water distiller model sold on Amazon is called the Waterwise 4000 Water Steam Distiller.  It’s made by Waterwise and sold/shipped on Amazon.com

To help re-mineralize your distilled water, water alkalizers are a good place to start.

Which Water Alkalizers Should You Buy?

If you are on a budget, AlkaPods are a great starter.  They also make great gifts too.

AlkaPods are available from the following online stores in Australia, U.S. , Canada and the U.K.

The AlkaPod is also known as  “The IonPod” in the U.S.

  1. Amazon (U.S.)
  2. Amazon (U.K.)
  3. eBay –   (Australian and Canadian seller/s).
Please Note: AlkaPods only alkalize, ionize and mineralize water; they do not filter the water.

Otherwise, the Alphion Water Alkaliser (sold by Alkaway Australia) is the way to go.  It has a self cleaning system, includes different settings which enables you to make pure acid water for cleaning and alkalized water for cooking and drinking.

For more information on AlkaWay’s entire Water Alkaliser product range, please visit Alkaway Australia.

Counter Top Water Alkalizers are also sold at the following online stores:

  1. Alkaline Water Plus: The Alkaline Water Ioniser Store (U.S. based),
  2. Amazon (U.S.)
  3. eBay (Australia)

Tip:  I  found using alkalized filtered water brings out the flavour in cooked food.
